Carol's Experience with Goddess Energy

I asked Carol, a friend and also Fusion13 participant, if she would like to say more about her experience with Goddess energy. She responded with a wonderful story of the experience and then gave me permission to share it with you. I hope you find it as inspiring and encouraging as I have...

"I can tell you how I first encountered the Goddess. I was talking a while ago to someone about the Goddess and what it meant to the feminine. I must have woke her up because then the next morning, when I awoke, the most powerful, magnificent Goddess figure came to me and filled me with the power of the heavens. 

The energy rushed through me and touched every part of my being. First she assured me that all my dreams for Angel House would be fulfilled because it was already done, it had already been finished and I just needed to get out of the way so it could be completed. 

Then the energy continued to flow, now focusing on my son, who is having a very difficult time right now. His life is falling apart and this energy that came through me could now go to him. I knew and felt the force of the energy, that now that it had been opened in me, could flow through me to him since he came from me, he is still connected to me energetically and my opening can allow him to also open to his own power. 

It continued going through my life in this way. Bringing power to everything that is me. It related to the love that I knew with [my husband and partner] and that I share now with all in my life. My body contorted and moved with the energy as it continued to flow through me. I have never felt such a power before. Something opened that can never be closed again. This is the missing piece as to who I am and how to let the Source energy flow through me without getting stopped through my filter along the way. The door is open and I can breathe and move freely in the power of the energy that fills life.

As we have been told, we think we are a human being having a spiritual experience when actually we are a spiritual being having a human experience. What I realized after this opening was that the spiritual being in me, the angel, tried to skip the human experience because I did not like how it felt and was just going to continue to be the light and love of the spiritual being that I wanted to be. Well, of course, it did not work. I signed up for a human experience and that is what I would have... like it or not!!! 

So in trying to be only the Spiritual being, (the good little girl) I closed off a big part of me that has now reopened and allows much power to fill all that is in my life. 

Words do not do justice to what the experience felt like. It was magnificent and powerful just like the Goddess that brought it to me. The name that came to me was Athena, the daughter of Zeus. 

This energy continues to rise in me at times when I am falling into the 'helpless little girl' space. I can no longer hide there because there is a force that comes through me that I can no longer deny. It is not me, but coming through me and since this space has been opened, I can not stop its power from moving me to where I need to be.

Types of Dreams

The following 'types' are arbitrary categories and refer to dreams we have while asleep as well as daydreams, journeys in imagination, intuitive messages, etc. Any dream can be a combination of one or more of the 'types listed below. The source of this information is from over 45 years of personal experience with dreams and dreamwork, from formal training in Jungian Depth Psychology, and also from research of the work of other dreamworkers and researchers.

• Spiritual Dreams... all dreams can be viewed at a spiritual level and as being presented to us by the wise 'Source' energy that permeates all of life. Individually this may be seen as our deepest and highest Soul wisdom attempting to communicate with us to introduce new energy or reveal patterns that have been unconscious. Some spiritual dreams will be accompanied by qualities and feelings of a positive nature and we sense a connection to "God" or the unseen "Mystery"...
  
  Dreams have played a part in shaping religions and belief systems across the planet. From Jacob's dreams of angels in the Bible, to Mohammed's dream inspiring his spiritual mission in the Quran, to the "dreaming" of the Australian Aboriginals. Dream interpretation and analysis has been an ongoing aspect of human experience from all 'ages.'

• Astral Dreams may find us traveling outside our physical form or being in spirit or ethereal form and even see our physical body dissociated from our astral body. We may encounter other astral entities from this or other dimensions outside of our concepts of time and space.
  ...
• Personality Dreams usually show us some unconscious interactions between aspects of our individual energy patterns and dynamics... They may also reveal repressed emotions from the day... while all dreams can be seen at various levels and from various perspectives; the personality dream is usually understood with its potential to uncover areas of personal growth.

• Physiological Dreams - Some dreams are said to be direct reflections of our needs in the conscious world. For example, a dream where the sleeper is shivering in the snow may simply mean an extra blanket is required. In dream and sleep research it was found that shifting a person's pillow or hand just a small distance could produce dreams of falling off a cliff or other sensations of being off balance.

• Prophetic Dreams can also be labeled "premonitions." In these "visions" we will be presented with some occurrence which is to happen outside our current time frame and conscious knowledge. We may not even know many of the details such as the exact date and time... where, who... but usually have a sense of nature of the situation. Visions and dreamtime images are outside the normal sensory limits imposed by concepts of time and space... once we have had these intuitive visions, our conceptual world view can be altered and changed forever... and sometimes that is there purpose it seems.

• Nightmares are mostly classified as such because there is a fairly high level of fear experienced by the dreamer. Nightmares can be quite positive because they represent important information and energy that is trying to become conscious. The fear can be seen as an ego defense that helps to protect established egoic patterns and drive us away from facing the "monster' or threatening situation. What remains repressed and unconscious can control our waking actions.

• Vehicle Dreams can show us who is controlling the movement in our lives at the current time and what are the circumstances.
• Individual Vehicle: Car, Bicycle, Motorcycle, Unicycle, etc... Who is driving the car? Are their passengers? Does the car work? Is it our car? What shape is it in? What kind of car is it?
• Group Vehicle: Bus, Train, Airplane, Ship, Spacecraft, etc... are you riding with others? What are the circumstances? Where are you going? ...can indicate some type of community, cluster, or shared group energies
  ...
• Transition Dreams are dreams in which we may be in a location that is associated with making changes in travel, such as being in an airport, bus station, train station, being in a place while traveling, etc.
  ...
• Lucid Dreams are dreams in which we are conscious within the dream that we are dreaming or they may be dreams on the edge of lucidity in which we are trying to figure out in the dream if it is a dream or a waking experience.
  ...
• Compensatory Dreams are dreams that help bring balance to our lives and reveal what Jung described as the 'shadow' side of the psyche. The dark side shows us parts of ourselves we have repressed. An example is a Nun who dreams she is promiscuous. Another would be a peaceful or passive person dreaming of being angry or shooting others.
  ...
• Recurring Dreams may be a sign that we are not paying attention to the message that is trying to come through...and can lead to unresolved issues in our waking lives. The intent of the unconscious 'director' in these instances is to find a dream which impacts upon the dreamer in the most beneficial way. The unconscious mind repeats the dream to get our attention and perhaps sees this particular dream as the best means to "break through"...
  ...
• Problem-Solving Dreams and Intuitions are designed to convey a message to the sleeper that will aid them in overcoming a problem in their conscious life. It shows the synthesizing nature of the unconscious mind and may also be connected to the collective reservoir of knowledge or to other unseen entities... It is said that very often such messages are delivered by a messenger whose identity is of utmost importance in discerning the message. Daily issues can be resolve in this "out of the box" mode and we have examples of great inventions coming together in this way.

Levels of Dreams

Different 'Levels' of Dreams

Life and consciousness can be seen as pure energy that is perceived or sensed in various frequencies and densities...

Therefore, as we approach dreams, the wise unconscious mind or our Higher Self provides a picture of dynamic frequencies in dream symbols and images that are common to our stories or experience... and the stories we have absorbed through others.

Dream dynamics often will refer to the ego structure and our personal experiences in daily life... Often the feeling of fear in a dream is because something may be trying to come to consciousness that the ego does not like or want... the ego's job has been a survival dynamic from day one to help us cope in the world and in the scenes we were brought into... The ego does a good job of strengthening itself over the years to help us cope and find survival modes in life. As we move toward expanding consciousness beyond the stories and domestication we lived through, the ego is still doing its job of protecting its boundaries... It is quite conservative in the sense that the first response is to not want change or disruption of the known structures... and so, as in life, it may use fear to stop our movement to pure awareness...

I always look at dreams from several perspectives...

1. Personal Dimension: The dream is a reflection of what's happening at a personality level... each part is a part of my personal psyche... Look to see where the feelings in the dream may mirror some feeling you are having at the same time in your daily life.
2. Spiritual Dimension: The dream may be a message from our Higher Self and is asking us to move toward expanded consciousness or providing insight or guidance;
3. Prophetic Dimension: It's a message about others or something going on in the collective consciousness of the globe or some Earth changes...

And there are more, but this will suffice for now...

Dreams may apply both to the personal and spiritual dimensions since they are one and there are no boundaries... By approaching and understanding our dreams from various perspectives or 'levels' we can become our own best guide and counselor.
