In the insurance industry, there are terms called "blanket" and "umbrella" protection. It implies that everything can be insured when in fact there are many things from which we cannot be protected.
When the rune of "Protection" appears, it does remind us that comfort, security, and protection are important and is either present or necessary in order for the challenge or concern to be resolved. Look at the surrounding runes. "Protection" can mean that all is "covered," like a form of blanket or umbrella protection.
If the concern is focused in the spiritual-energetic dimensions, it may suggest more conscious energetic protection is called for such as visualizing being in a bubble of protection filled with energetic white light; or putting on your spiritual armor.
"Protection" is an aspect of providing security in our daily lives to a reasonable extent while maintaining love as the energy that motivates our actions. There are things we can do; and there are unseen protectors in the realm of the spiritual dimension that are watching over us.
