Rune # 32 - "Mountain"

The Mountain comes for a visit…
One of the Fusion13 Runes is “Mountain”
[#32]. A mountain has different meanings for different people and the meaning
may change from one time to another. In an F13 rune reading, the meaning can
depend on the nature of the inquiry and also the surrounding runes when using
the ‘Circle of Life’ layout.
Mountain may represent a seemingly huge obstacle to overcome, or some major challenge you are going through. We can forget that we have the resources, both seen and unseen, to deal with any obstacle. And a bit of faith and trust in the Source of Life can help to move the mountain as if it were a small mound. It can be that we focus on the obstacle or challenge and make it even larger than it really is. It is best if we do not fight the mountain which often gives it more strength. Be careful not to make “mountains out of molehills.”
Mountain can also represent a place that
rises above the everyday experiences of our lives. From the mountain top we can
see more clearly. We can see the bigger picture. Traveling to the mountain top
in imagery can help us to expand our consciousness to a higher place. Try it if
you wish. Find a comfortable place to relax. Take some deep breaths and exhale
slowly. Then when you are ready, see yourself moving toward the top on a
mountain of your choice. Notice what kind of a day it is and the details of the
journey.
Once you reach the mountaintop, notice
what you see and how you feel. You may even meet a wise person who lives there.
It may be an old wise man or woman or both. If someone has come to visit,
engage in conversation and you can ask them anything you wish. Let them answer
and make a note of what they say. You can always think about it later. This can
represent a deep and wise part of your own consciousness and may even be conveying
a special message from your higher Self, your guardians, and/or the Source of
Love and Life.
To help integrate the experience, you
may let the sun shine down upon you and any guests that have visited you there
on the mountain top. The sun, with its fire and light has often been an
integrative energy and symbol of wholeness and Source of Love which provides
life giving radiance to all.
You may also have a physical location in the mountains that provides a sanctuary to renew your strength and recharge your Life energy. By all means consider being guided to a special secluded space to which you can retreat.
Again the ‘Mountain’ [#32] rune will have its message for you and you will be the one to decide what it means in your life and at this time.
