Rune # 63 - "Now"

"Now" means this very present moment in time. And it also transcends time, since in reality, time is a construction of our egoic survival mind with the ability to both remember past 'nows' and to project onto future 'nows.'
Take a moment to observe how you are feeling right this moment.
If you have this rune show up in your reading, you may be spending too much time in your present moments playing reruns of the past or creating fantasies about the infinite number of possibilities of future 'nows.' Both places of attention ... past and future... are unreal in as much as they are not part of the actual present moment.
To be in the present we must let go of past regrets and memories. To be in this present moment, we must let go of worry and anxiety about future events that may or may not happen. We also enter the realm of timelessness when we go through the 'now-gate' to this present moment.
Living in the certainty of this present moment allows some peace when we are able to simply be with what is without judgment. From the power of the present moment, we choose more responsibly rather than reacting from a place of fear.
Eckhart Tolle, along with many other teachers, has long emphasized the "Power of Now" [book by the same name].
And for many years, Ram Dass has also taught how to "Be Here Now." Let you focus and attention come to this moment. One way to come to this moment is to focus on the flow and rhythm of your breath... and being aware of your inner experience and how your body feels... become one with your body... and enjoy the Life your senses bring to your awareness.
Now is the only time there really is... it is time to return to the present moment as part of allowing the solution to your inquiry to emerge in the present....
